During this past summer, the Jesuits in Canada conducted a Canoe Pilgrimage retracing the route taken by the first Jesuits in the 1600's. The purpose of the pilgrimage, which involved Jesuits, lay people, indigenous and non-indigenous participants, was to work toward reconciliation in the aftermath of the residential schools. 6 St. Paul's students and two teachers joined in this pilgrmage for five days in August. Here is a link to the CBC National news story about the event.
