The Crusader Indoor track and field team completed their indoor season by competing at the Winnipeg High School Indoor Championships.
Several Crusaders made their way to the podium and a few others just missed it.
James "shot gun" Teschuck led the Crusader off to a strong start by winning a bronze medal in the junior boys 60m and 200m. A great career lies ahead for the grade 9 student as he was competing against grade 10 students.
Two other grade nine stars showed that they belong with the big boys, Aaron "cannon ball" Noyes won the silver medal in the junior shot put, and Shane "I can handle the pain" Dillion just missed the bronze medal finishing 4th the junior 1500m, and placed 5th in the 800m.
Shiloh "Oklahoma" Johnson continued his excellent indoor season as he won the silver medal in the junior 1500m.
Patrick "Jumping Jacks" McCaugherty won the silver medal in the senior boys 60m hurdles.
Also in that hurdle race was Connor "Jumping Beans" Zubrecki who placed 5th, while Kyle "leaping lizard" Leech placed 7th.
Rounding out the great day of performances was Dami "Uncle Sami" Adegunle who placed 5th in the 60m and helped the senior boys team to place 4th in the 4X200m.
This ends the indoor track season for the Crusaders. Look for Outdoor track to start up shortly after spring break.
