Day 2 was mostly a qualifying day for Saturday's final events. However, Crusader strong man Aaron Noyes helped out the Junior Varsity team hopes with a huge silver medal effort in the Shot put.
The Junior Varsity Crusaders are in a virtual tie with Fort Richmond as they head into the final day of competition. The Crusaders will ride the strength of distance star Shane Dillon as he runs both the 3000m and the 800m on Saturday. James Teschuk will run the 400m final and anchor the second ranked 4 X 100m relay team. Cole Zadro will also compete in the discus final and Graham Lock and Will Koltek may add valuable points by placing in the 3000m.
In Varsity action Patrick McCaugherty was the top qualifier in the 100m hurdles and Shiloh Johnson won his semi-final 800m heat.
Jayden Pollock shocked everyone by showing up on time and not eating a hotdog before his competition. This sacrifice led Jayden to a current 6th place overall standing in the multi-event.
Come back again tomorrow to find out how the final day of the Provincial track and field meet will turn out.
